In addition to embracing the ground on which it sits, the singular shape of a branch offers various programmatic occupations and moments within the trees. Its structure and wood cladding create a volume that speaks to the existing landscape.

Set in the natural topography of the site, La Branche privileges and frames certain views of the forest and the river to offer rest and introspection. The disconnection from daily life and the intimacy of the occupants are enhanced by an architecture that oscillates between interior and exterior. The programming allows for a sequence of spaces that promote simplicity, discovery and continuous contact with the surrounding nature.
